In last 10 days, the foundation stone and inauguration of 7 new AIIMS have taken place: PM Modi

Addressing a public gathering in Rajkot, PM Modi said, "For 50 years after independence, there was only one AIIMS in the country - in Delhi. In the seven decades of independence, only 7 AIIMS were approved, and even they couldn't be completed entirely. And now, look, in just the last 10 days... pay attention... in just the last 10 days, the foundation stone and inauguration of 7 new AIIMS have taken place. That's why I say, what couldn't happen in 6-7 decades, we are demonstrating the development of our country at a much faster pace. Today, more than 200 healthcare infrastructure projects have been inaugurated and dedicated across 23 states and union territories. These include medical colleges, satellite centers of major hospitals, and large hospitals dedicated to the treatment of serious illnesses."
