Ravanakrita Shiva Stuti ||

Verse 71 Translation:
“I worship Lord Shankara, the destroyer of cities (Purahara), whose head is adorned with the moon (the king of stars), whose throat is like the black belly of a crow, whose body shines with the radiance of camphor, who lovingly wears sacred ash, and who pressed his toe in anger to crush the arrogant Ravana when he attempted to lift Mount Kailasa. The blow shattered Ravana’s arms and made his hair tremble.”

Verse 72 Translation:
“I bow to the Lord of gods, who is worshipped by the king of gods (Indra), who is content with the fierce sounds of Ravana’s veena (created with his own ten heads and hands), who has a crescent moon on his head, whose friend is Kubera (King of Yakshas), and who is always accompanied by Uma (Parvati).”

Verse 73 Translation:
“I worship Shankara – who resides on Mount Meru, is praised by Lord Vishnu (Mukunda), whose eyes are adored by Lakshmi, who is loved by Nandi and other sages, who loves the fragrance of sandal, and who is the destroyer of all fears and the remover of worldly attachments.”

Verse 74 Translation:
“O enemy of Kama (desire), treasure house of compassion, ocean of mercy, beloved of all devotees, whose beautiful locks smell of divine fragrance, and whose third eye holds the mysteries of creation – I bow to you!”

Verse 75 Translation:
“With elevated words, O Supreme Lord, I offer my praise – please liberate this helpless soul swiftly from all suffering.”

Verse 76 Translation:
“I worship the guru of all the three worlds, the remover of all sins – whose form glows with the radiance of the crescent moon on his forehead, whose body shares half with Uma, whose smile illuminates the night of cosmic bliss, and who always wears a garland of energy and peace.”
