"Kit Harington Unexpectedly Returns to the Game of Thrones World"

This is why Kit Harington made a surprise return to the Game of Thrones realm for a special occasion: to tackle the Long Night once more.

Although Jon Snow had already vanquished this threat in the series finale of the HBO fantasy show, Kit revisited his iconic role in a new video for the recently launched Game of Thrones: Legends mobile game.

In the video, Kit Harington states, “Winter is coming,” as he navigates a shadowy bar adorned with familiar series elements. “I’m prepared to chart my own course. I’ve crafted my strategy and honed my approach. I’ll solve every challenge and tackle every obstacle to defeat our greatest adversary: the Long Night.”

As Kit describes rallying his allies, gathering “the greatest heroes of Westeros,” choosing his champions, and leading his house to triumph, a woman at the bar bests him in a game round. She proudly displays her phone screen to showcase her win and starts to recite the famous line from Ygritte (played by Kit’s wife Rose Leslie), “You know nothing Jon Snow.” Kit quickly interrupts with, “Don’t say it.”

But after a strategic “Dracarys” leads him to victory, Kit retorts, “I do know a few things.”

The game, as described, enables players to “create and lead their own Westeros house, refining their strategies and skills as they assemble a team of champions, equip them with weapons and gear, and confront formidable enemies from the Game of Thrones universe.” Players can engage in story mode quests or compete in Raids against each other in real-time.

Developed by Zynga, the game features characters from both Game of Thrones and the spinoff series House of the Dragon, allowing players to recruit champions like Rhaenyra Targaryen, Arya Stark, Drogon, The Hound, and Ser Criston Cole.

For Kit Harington, the game offered a perfect opportunity to reconnect with Jon Snow and the Game of Thrones universe.

He remarked, “The creativity and effort put into Game of Thrones: Legends is evident, and it felt entirely natural to return to Westeros for this game. It’s a genuine tribute to the fans, without whom the franchise wouldn’t be what it is today. I’m honored to contribute to this new project.”
