Their Town Hall was locked by the person that never contributed anything to the construction and building of the hall. The hall belongs to them.

Despite being unjustly blocked from accessing the town hall they built with their own hands, Nteje women refused to be silenced or broken. This town hall, a symbol of their hard work and community spirit, was locked under questionable directives from the suspended President General, Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba—a man whose actions since taking office have raised serious concerns, especially regarding his consistent disregard and possible bias against women in the community.

Yet, in the midst of it all, Nteje mothers chose peace over provocation. They gathered outside the locked gates, shared meals, danced, rejoiced, and stood together in love and solidarity—turning an attempt at oppression into a celebration of resilience.
