✈️ In this video, I’m flying the Cessna turboprop on a visual approach into Red Deer Airport—but with another aircraft close behind! To keep the spacing safe, I chose to land long… and barely avoided making the other aircraft go-around in the process.

This wasn’t a high-traffic situation, but it definitely taught me some valuable lessons! I’ll talk through the visual approach, the decisions I made on the fly, and why sometimes landing long is the right call—even if it’s not the textbook one. Runway landing briefing is so important when deciding to choose a different touchdown point.

⚠️ Visual approaches might seem simple—but when you’ve got company on your tail, they can get complicated quickly.
