This Labor Day, we returned to Missouri’s Current River, continuing where our last expedition left off — paddling from Aker Ferry to Round Spring.

With our regular crew from St. Louis and friends from Kansas City, we navigated crowded holiday waters, stopped at historic landmarks, explored hidden caves, hiked Pulltite Trail, and faced the river’s dangers head-on.

Along the way, we were reminded of what makes the Ozarks unforgettable: kind strangers, ancient springs, gravel bar lunches, and nights lit by fire and flowing water.

This isn’t just another float trip.
It’s a Missouri river expedition.
