Frédéric Chopin/Pablo de Sarasate - Op.27-2, Nocturne No.8 (Score)

Описание к видео Frédéric Chopin/Pablo de Sarasate - Op.27-2, Nocturne No.8 (Score)

Pablo Martín Melitón de Sarasate y Navascués (1844-1908) was a Spanish violinist and composer, who is best known for his virtuosic works for violin. His music is firmly in the Romantic salonesque style, but with a distinctive Spanish flavor.

Among Chopin’s nocturnes, my favorites are Op.15-2 (most relaxing), Op.27-2 (most beautiful), Op.48-1 (most fun to play). The Db major nocturne is quite difficult to play, but when played perfectly, it is one of the best thing to hear in the world (extremely personal opinion).

Anyway, Sarasate made transcription of 2 nocturnes, and here is one of them.
