Dionysus launches from his bachanal throne the bursts of festivities, orgiastic libations and spring festivals. God of the vine, of wine and its excesses, ancient Divine Fire, he inspires humans in their madness and excess.
He is the son of Zeus and the mortal Semele. According to Orphism, he'd be the son of Demeter or Persephone.
Perhaps he is the divine figure who most embodies excessiveness, exaggeration and exuberance?
I wanted here to pay homage to him in a dark and heady piece that represents the exaltation of trance under the glowing fire of profusion.

Dionysus lance depuis son trône bachanal les éclats des festivités, les libations orgiaques et les fêtes du printemps. Dieu de la vigne, du vin et de ses excès, ancien Feu divin, il inspire les humains dans leur folie et leur outrance.
Il est le fils de Zeus et de la Sémélé une mortelle. Selon l'orphisme, il descend de Déméter ou de Perséphone.
Peut-être est-il la figure divine qui incarne le plus la démesure, l'exagération et l'exubérance ?
J'ai voulu ici lui rendre hommage dans un morceau sombre et entêtant qui figure l'exaltation des transes sous le feu rougeoyant de la profusion.
