Our Unremarkable 3-Person Ascent of Fote Hog (5.6) in Joshua Tree

Описание к видео Our Unremarkable 3-Person Ascent of Fote Hog (5.6) in Joshua Tree

Three unremarkable climbers embark on a two-pitch 5.6 trad climb called Fote Hog in Joshua Tree National Park!

Keep in mind this is a JOSHUA TREE 5.6, which means it had 3 pretty distinct 5.9 cruxes right off the deck LOL. This climb was my very first trad multi years ago and is just as scary now, even though it's regarded as a great beginner climb. That's JTree for ya!

Anyway...I really liked it so I was excited to share this climb with Chris and Katheryn! It was Chris' second multipitch but his first on gear and his first time learning to top belay (he killed it!), and Katheryn's FIRST MULTIPITCH EVER!!

I hope you enjoy being here for our struggles and successes on this one. Despite it being a fairly unremarkable accomplishment to most, this climb kicked our butts, but we had a blast!
