Supreme Court Declines To Stay Ongoing Hindu Puja In Southern Cellar Of Gyanvapi Mosque

The Supreme Court rejected the request of the mosque management committee to halt Hindu prayers in the southern cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi. Instead, the court asked the trustees of Kashi Vishwanath Temple for their response. The Supreme Court further mandated that the status quo regarding Muslim namaz offerings at Varanasi's Gyanvapi premises be maintained.
