This stunning solo is one of two by Allan Holdsworth on Planet X's 2007 release Quantum. It's strikingly lyrical yet effortlessly virtuosic, probably the reason this one gains so much praise and has introduced so many to Holdsworth's music. I may be wrong on some of the chord voicings here, but the tonalities of all the given changes are correct, and Allan nails every single one with his lead playing.
