Terry and Vandana’s story began when they met hiking in Santa Barbara. Today, their love story continues – even if it looks different than it did when they first met.

“Due to a medical diagnosis in 2009, I went into a wheelchair in 2011 and lost the ability to speak in 2015,” Terry said. “All of that means that I need hands-on help with everything, every day. Sihar is here to do that, but he does so much more.”

One example of this “much more” support is how caregiver Sihar Tambunan, CNA earned Vandana’s trust, so she can have peace of mind about her husband’s care in her absence.

“When Sihar first began working with me, my wife was not entirely comfortable,” Terry explained. “She had not left me with a stranger before and did not want to go out. But I knew she needed a break, even to just run errands without hurrying. Once she saw the connection that Sihar and I had, she was so relieved and happy — and able to take some to just breathe.”

Terry describes Sihar as reliable, attentive, kind-hearted and efficient — a true professional who cares about each client.
