Several rounds were fired outside actor Disha Patani's residence in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Gangster Goldie Brar has claimed responsibility for the incident, which was allegedly triggered by remarks made about Hindu saints Swami Premanand ji Maharaj and Anirudh Acharya ji. In a message claiming responsibility for the shooting, a warning was issued stating, "dobara hamare koi sanson ke bare mein tere muh se koi bhi sun le ya video sun le ki baar tere ghar parivara mein koi bhi marega na to uske zimar to ho gayi." The message also sent a broader warning to all of Bollywood. Police have initiated an investigation into the shootout and are examining the claim of responsibility made by the gangster. No injuries were reported in the incident.
