False & deceptive advertising is a MAJOR problem in the online business space, so it’s nice to see the FTC cracking down.👏🏼

Be weary of any financial claims that lack context and don’t provide any evidentiary support. There’s a fine line between flashy marketing and fraud.👮🏻‍♂️

Note: I’m mainly talking about financial claims about what other people can earn by going through a program, hiring a coach, buying a product, etc.💸

That was the main issue here, along with other false claims, like the businesses had access to employers ready to hire when all they really had were expired job listings (it’s also worth noting that they received a warning, but continued making false claims).😬

I recognize there’s value in business owners sharing their own numbers for transparency’s sake, especially in the creator space. Just remember to always keep things honest!✨🙏🏼
