Описание к видео The Jesse James Hideout on Route 66 | History Traveler Episode 365

Part 4 in the Route 66 Series

As you travel down Route 66, one thing that you can't help but to notice are the barn roofs painted with advertising for Meramec Caverns. This cave has a whole lot of history and has traditionally been a major tourist stop along Route 66. We're taking a break from the heat to explore the history of Meramec Caverns, which has ties to the outlaw Jesse James, before moving down the road to spend the night in a historic motel along the route.
