Installing a lightweight single mass flywheel also requires finding the right pressure plate and friction plate. This outlines different alternatives. Equally applicable to all 996 and 986 manual transmission Porsches.

As an aside, there is a lot of Internet folklore that lightweight flywheels can cause engine damage to the crankshaft. Lots of chatter, but not many proof points. If you have experienced an engine failure after installing a lightweight clutch, please let us know in the comments!
