This Lenten Season, allow us take you to Tagaytay.

Sonya’s Garden has been around for more than 20 years. Karylle took me there once for a full body massage but for some reason, I was never able to dine in and stay overnight.

The place is filled with bright, breathtakingly beautiful flowers! Upon our arrival, we were greeted by their resident fur baby, Ugu. And he brought us straight to the dining area. Our meals consisted mostly of their signature salad and dishes. And we also got a taste of the breads sold at the Panaderia.

Our home for the day was a traditional Spanish-Filipino designed house. It was spacious and we enjoyed the cool evening breeze and slept comfortably.

The following day, we were able to visit their Secret Farm and was able to harvest fresh tomatoes.

We also visited their Hidden River to swim a bit, meditate and have a Boodle Fight with my Buhay ProbinZSA team.

We then moved to AMEGA Hotel upon the invitation of two of my Nephews (from my cousins from the Padilla side) and we enjoyed the privacy of our rooms (the boutique hotel has 10 beautifully designed rooms).

Breakfast was al fresco and I got to taste all their restaurants’ Ilongo specialties!

We did try to visit three Catholic churches in Tagaytay but all were unfortunately closed.

I have been wanting to do a special featuring different churches as someone suggested on my channel. I remember Dolphy and I would visit 7 different churches all over Metro Manila during Holy Thursday and pray the Station of the Cross.

Since the churches were closed, we decided to just go on top of a hill to say a prayer and during that time, we had no idea that another surge would happen this month.

I know it has been tough on everyone. It has been over a year and sometimes you still get this feeling of helplessness. Kapit Lang. Take this time to reflect about the past year, dear friends. And just enjoy time spent with our loved ones.
And never lose hope that one day... soon, everything will come to pass.
