“Being raised by a single mother, I learnt very early that I had to be independent. I was 12 when I began working at a grocery store for a few bucks, and at 16, I had become a model, ready to travel the world. Money was very important for me back then, and remains to be important even today. I don’t like spending on luxury bags and clothes – I never wanted to be the ‘pretty girl’, instead, I strive to be the ‘smart girl’, because that’s going to win you in the long run!”
