While agriculture is trying to meet the increasing food demand, it also faces the challenge of using land and water resources more efficiently and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, manual tasks and unfavorable working conditions in greenhouse food production are leading to rising costs and labour shortages.

The invention focuses on robotizing greenhouse tasks, starting with tomato production, but it can also be adapted for other crops like cucumbers and peppers. The modular robotic platform is designed for plant and fruit monitoring, enabling the prediction of crop yields. It also facilitates plant manipulation to reduce the physical workload of employees.
