How does it work
If you delete a contact this erases their personal details and anonymizes their information within your report. It is impossible to add a deleted contact to your database. Only way you can add the contact is to join again using an Mailchimp sign-up form.

The process of archiving contacts however is irreversible. If you have old or inactive contacts who don't respond to your marketing campaigns, it is best to save them. You can unarchive them in case you decide to change your mind.

If a customer requests their personal information to be deleted from your database to meet reasons of GDPR We will inform you via email. When you receive an email from us, you'll be given 30 days to remove the contact from each audience on your account, in addition to any associated integrations.

Contacts deleted
There are two methods to erase contacts. You can go on the Data Management Tool page and select either one of the contacts you wish to be removed, or remove a single contact on their personal page.

From the tool to manage data
To remove any or all contacts in the database management tool Follow these steps.

1. Select to reveal the button for the Audience.
2. Select for all contact.
3. If you are working with multiple audiences select to open the current audience drop-down menu and select the one you wish to work with.
4. Click on the to manage contacts dropdown scroll down to the bottom , and then select the tool for managing data.
5. Click the checkbox on each contact that you'd like to remove.
6. Select the Permanently delete button.
7. Within the Are you sure? pop-up modal, click permanently delete and then click "Confirm".
