All The Basses 007: Guyatone EB-25 Vintage Shortscale Bass // Serek Basses

All the Basses is a side project dedicated to showcasing some of the perhaps lesser known basses of years gone by. I do not claim to be a bass historian, I merely want to highlight some of the more interesting aspects of these instruments, and to showcase their tonality.

The Guyatone EB-25 drew me in with its Jazz-bass-like looks in a compact package, but the similarities end there. This thin-necked oddball features a single humbucker, funky chrome covers, a bolt-on maple neck, and...well...that's about it!

The bass was recorded direct through a Scarlett 2i2 and a mic'd Aguilar SL-112 paired with my GK MB Fusion 800.
