THE PROTOCOL
THE PROTOCOL:
PHASE 1: Pre-Nap Setup (5 minutes before)

Set alarm for EXACTLY 20 minutes - Critical timing window
Temperature 19-21C - Optimal for rapid sleep onset

PHASE 2: The Nap Window (20 minutes exactly)

Lie down or recline 40 degrees - Full horizontal optional
No phone, no stimulation - Pure rest state
Don't worry if you don't "feel asleep" - Stage 2 still occurs
Objective: Enter stage 2 sleep cycle for adenosine clearance

PHASE 3: Strategic Awakening (First 2 minutes after alarm)

Immediate bright light exposure - Stops melatonin production
Stand and move within 30 seconds - Activates alertness cascade
Cold water face wash - Engages diving reflex
Caffeine from Phase 1 now active - Cognitive boost without inertia
Objective: Zero transition time to full performance
