Road Trip - Historic Roads in Croatia (Pt.5): Rudolfina Road - Ogulin to Novi Vinodolski - 4K UHD

Road trip from Ogulin to Novi Vinodolski along the historic Rudolfina (Rudolphina) road. Rudolfina road is one of the four famous historic roads (Lujzijana, Karolina, Jozefina, Rudolfina) which cross mountainous regions of Croatia (Gorski Kotar and Lika) and connect continental and coastal parts of the country. It is the youngest of the four beauties of Mountainous Croatia and it was built in the period between 1867 and 74. It is also the shortest and least known of the four roads with very little traffic, used mostly by locals. Today it is also referred to as "the forgotten road" (zaboravljena cesta). It connects a beautiful little town called Ogulin (located in the mountainous part of Croatia) and Novi Vinodolski - a quite well known North Adriatic seaside destination. Rudolfina is certainly one of the most beautiful roads in Croatia, zigzagging through wooded areas, almost completely unpopulated, and it ends with quite a spectacular view of the blue Adriatic sea and red roofs of Novi Vinodolski. Unfortunately during our Rudolfina trip, a short rain shower somewhat spoiled those wonderful views but you can always try Rudolfina by yourself if you happen to be in Croatia and are looking for an interesting alternative to the highway. Enjoy this lovely trip along with Bach concertos I decided match the scenery real nice! ;)
