The first time I saw a video of this house when it was released on the PTS, I knew I absolutely had to have it. In fact, a year after its release, I still think this is the coolest house they've ever released. Maybe not the most epic, but you just can't beat that moving orbservatory!

I had seen this house done in a more traditional clockwork way several times, and those versions were done very well, but I just wanted to try something a little different and see how cozy I could make this house. I still used a lot of clockwork style items, but I tried to mix in some wood and warm, bright colors, too.

For the trees and plants, my logic was that if the floor is metal, and the trees are "fabricant" (basically metal), then the trees and plants can grow right out of the floor. Makes sense, right? So if it's coming right out of the floor, it's fabricant, and if it's in a pot, it's a real plant or tree. There are a few exceptions where I put fabricant saplings in pots indoors, but other than that, the rule holds true. (Pretty sure, anyway...)

This house was really, really fun to decorate, and it's one of the few 700 slot homes where 700 items actually feels like enough. The unfurnished version is on sale until Monday, so if you've had your eye on it put haven't purchased yet, I highly recommend this house!
