My parents didn't lie to us, not intentionally, so no Santa, but we had fun with Pelsnickel, a variant spelling of the Bavarian Belsnickel. Since the latter is much more common, I stuck with it for this project.

Google's Gemini AI Pro wrote the story by my request at a level an English as a Second Language heater could understand because even most native speakers can't understand most of my dense, complex prose 😉. Never the less, the AI story tracks tightly mit what my Franconian Papa taught me in my childhood. The same AI made the illustration.
I got each language on the first take, I just had to filter out traffic noise.

I tried giving the German to AI to read , but even though it's been decades since I read German in public, I knew mine would still be a LOT better!

I'm really glad I got to do this today!!!!! I've had it in mind & had most of the background done since before Thanksgiving!
