Organic Basics was once a leader in sustainable fashion — but not anymore.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2015, Organic Basics built a reputation on radical transparency, fair labor, and eco-friendly materials like organic cotton and TENCEL™. For years, it stood as a shining example of how fashion could be ethical and responsible.

So what went wrong?
In 2022, Organic Basics was acquired by Delta Galil Industries, a multinational apparel company with serious human rights concerns. Delta Galil has been listed by the United Nations for operating in illegal Israeli settlements — a violation of international law.

While Organic Basics itself hasn’t changed much — same minimalist style, same materials — its ownership now connects it to systemic injustice. At Eco-Stylist, that’s not something we can ignore.

That’s why in 2025, we made the difficult decision to revoke Organic Basics’ sustainability certification. At Eco-Stylist, sustainability isn’t just about materials — it’s about human rights, transparency, and accountability. Ownership matters.
