I've recently signed up to Emma Carlisle's 'Sketchbook Club'. One of the exercises was to take a selection of drawing materials and just spend a few minutes making as many different marks and layers as we could across two pages of our sketchbooks, without any objective other than to have fun and possibly make a few discoveries along the way. Those of you who are familiar with me and my art will already know that this is not something I would usually do - but I LOVED it! I'll definitely be making time for more sketchbook experiments in the future. There's no music in this video, it's just me chatting away to you about what I'm doing and my thoughts on the process and materials, so it's perfect to put on in the background while you're doing something else. Alternatively, make yourself a cup of tea, grab your sketchbook and art supplies, and draw along with me. I hope that you enjoy it! Please let me know if you'd like more of these long-format videos.
