In this video, I react to a recent statement made by a lecturer featured on The Irish Times who claims that the Irish were never homogeneous — calling us "hybrids" and even "mongrels." This is a part of a new RTÉ Documentary who are attempting to rewrite our history once again.

As a filmmaker and creator of Irish history content, I feel it's important to counter this framing. Ireland has always had outside influences, yes, but we've maintained a strong, distinct identity through it all.

Let’s talk honestly about our past without throwing away our heritage.
