DAY 2 Regional Security Summit

Latin America and the Caribbean is facing a severe security crisis driven by a growing wave of violence and impacts on the most vulnerable populations.

In response to this challenge, the Government of Ecuador and the Inter-American Development Bank will organize the "Regional Security Summit" on August 19 and 20 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, with live streaming in English on YouTube.

The Summit will promote dialogue and cooperation among countries, international organizations, and other stakeholders on the common challenges facing the region, as well as the exchange of initiatives to address them comprehensively through coordinated efforts. The Regional Security Summit will feature the participation of representatives from government entities, subnational governments, international organizations, bilateral cooperation institutions, academia, and civil society.
