Android Pie 9.0 vs. Oreo 8.1 - Google Pixel

Android Pie has been out for a hot minute, and I’ve already made a video showcasing the changes on the Essential Phone. However, I decided that it would be cool to show you guys the differences between Android Oreo & Android Pie in a side-by-side comparison.

So I grabbed my Pixel 2 and Pixel, and updated the Pixel 2 to Android Pie 9.0, while the Pixel still ran Android Oreo 8.1. Both the Pixels are very similar in terms of software! So it should be a fairly comprehensive comparison even though they aren’t the same exact phone.

There aren’t very many major changes on Android 9.0, however I think this was intentional. Google’s focus was clearly on adapting the UI to sync up with their newest phones, as well as implement more AI into the overall user experience.
In terms of performance and benchmarks, I haven’t seen any noticeable difference. Which is certainly a good thing. Let me know what you guys think about Android 9.0 Pie.
