After several unimpressive fights in 2002 and 2003, Mayweather bounced back against N'dou and was never challenged. N'dou called him "something special" after the fight, and Mayweather pointed out that he had made it his mission to be on the attack more than he had been in previous matches.

"I wanted to throw a lot more punches, give fans a war," he said. "My plan was to stand in the pocket and give some shots and take some shots."
