Elton! Variation design for Cabochon Bare Shank ring

Описание к видео Elton! Variation design for Cabochon Bare Shank ring

Here is a variation for those of you who don't care to weave the shank! Elton is a great ring and can be done with a bare shank too! Still one wire, all the same technique, this is how you close the sides without the weave and set the ring top for your stone. Much love! Let me know how you feel about this one... you can do finishing or see the whole Elton tutorial at this link...it's also linked at the end of the video.    • Elton! Big Cabochon, Ring Tutorial, M...

My Larimar stone in this variation is 1.5 inches long x .75 inches wide x 3mm thick. I'm using 28 inches of 18 gauge, soft, round, copper wire for the coiled frame. I'm using 2 x 14 inches of 26g weaving wire for the embellishment and finishing wrap. I hope you come to love this wire ring technique. It allows for a very sturdy capture of a large stone and makes a comfortable, substantial-feeling ring! You'll love wearing this on your finger and it's a wonderful way to use your larger stones for finger jewelry.
