Working with Defense Responses in the PSIP Psychedelic Session

This is a useful case study from PSI because it beautifully demonstrates how secondary consciousness defenses (mental) and primary consciousness defenses (biological) to trauma will arise in the psychedelic therapy session. You will see how the instructors use PSIP interventions to engage these defenses. We are lucky to have the primary PSI instructor, Saj Razvi, the instructor candidate, Dr. Lauren Ampolos, and student receiving the session, Kenlyn Mirbach, all on the call. They talk about the theory behind what is taking place and what the internal experience of going through it was like. The session was recorded at the PSI Hawaii training site.
