Snowy Winter walk in Kivenlahti during sunset. Kivenlahti is a suburb and an old village in Espoonlahti, Espoo. Lower Kivenlahti (Ala-Kivenlahti) was created on the site of the original village. Stensvik was the original name of this area and Kivenlahti is a Finnish translation developed when Stensvik began to be developed into a modern suburb and residential center in the 1970s.

On the 3rd of December, Kivenlahti Metro Station was opened as the last stop of the Western Metro (Länsimetro), the extension of the Helsinki Metro system.
