Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 966 filmed in Blackpool Town Centre on a wet and overcast Monday 12th January 2026.
We did not set off to film the Blackpool Tramway because Blackpool Transport issued a statement on Sunday 11th January 2026 that read:
"Trams Not Serving North Station
Today (11th January 2026) 09:58
Due to a technical issue we will not be serving North Station until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused".
There was no further notice and, indeed, at Blackpool North Station tram stops A4 posters stuck on the outside of the timetable frames with gaffer tape read "Due to a technical issue we are not currently servicing North Station."
As we made our way down Talbot Road, we were, therefore, surprised to see tram 014 running to North Station and, shortly later, returning to Starr Gate. The tram was empty as there were no customers waiting for obvious reasons.
Even at 12:00, the notices were still prominently flapping around in the breeze.

The bus that we set out to photograph and film was Stagecoach North West 15246 (YN65XEX) out for the first time since repaint into steel blue, on Service 61 (Preston to Blackpool).

The weather turned for the worse so we decided to abandon our foray after filming some of the trams.

Other trams that we saw in service were 013AD and 016AD
and we filmed 006 011AD 014AD

Let's hope Blackpool Transport does, very soon, discover what it is actually operating.
