On 23rd July, 2025, INTACH released the ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage) Division-produced film “Kan-Kan Mein Ram” in the presence of Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Hon’ble Minister for Culture and Tourism, Government of India. The event was a great success, and saw coverage from several news and media outlets, including the Ministry of Culture.

Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, during his keynote address, praised the film as both a visual and cultural work of art, and an achievement that can be labelled as part of India’s renewed cultural Renaissance, stating that ‘“Kan-Kan Mein Ram” is not only a visual masterpiece but also a cultural compendium of universal values embedded in the Ramayana.’ He further commented on the apt title of the film, stating that Ram does not belong to any one person: he is an omniscient presence touching all lives and is the foundation of India’s cultural fabric.

The Hon’ble Minister also spoke of his deep and sincere appreciation for INTACH’s dedicated efforts towards preserving and documenting India’s historic and cultural legacy since its foundation in 1984. Commenting on INTACH’s journey of preservation and documentation for more than four decades, he recalled his tenure as the Minister of Jal Shakti, Government of India, and lauded INTACH’s exhaustive efforts for the Ganga Cultural Documentation Project, which was a significant contribution towards the understanding and preservation of the river Ganga.
