Forgotten Fallen

"Forgotten Fallen: The Untold Story of Canada's 19,000 Great War Fallen with no Known Graves" is an award-winning documentary commemorating the First World War.

The story focuses on four individuals who gave the ultimate sacrifice, each representing the valiant contributions from every segment of the Canadian population, but whose bodies were never found:

* Thomas Riley, a Lewis gunner from Calgary, Alberta, lost during the Passchendaele assault,
* Talbot Papineau, a Major from Montreal, Quebec, also lost during Passchendaele,
* Margaret Marjory Fraser, a nursing sister Matron from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, lost at sea when the hospital ship H.M.H.S. Llandovery Castle was sunk by a U-Boat, and
* John Shiwak, a sniper from the Inuit community of Rigolet, Labrador, lost during the Newfoundland Regiment's advance at Cambrai.
