Defense attorney Thomas Glasgow discusses a ruling by the Chicago Office of Police Accountability that upheld the use of force by a Chicago Police officer. The sworn testimony of the officer at the hearing directly contradicts the independent video evidence obtained by the defense while the investigation was pending. Despite direct evidence from the video to the contrary, the officer presented multiple untruths and direct contradictions for his version of events which COPA supported and used to justify the CPD officer’s actions where he shot Mr. Glasgow’s client in the face. The unjustified actions of the officer left Mr. Glasgow’s client blind in one eye, unable to walk without a cane and with permanent neurological damage throughout his body.
