They want to be famous. If you aren’t concerned with popularity - you wouldn’t post.

Some people are indifferent to the world around them and don’t go looking for approval. These are my type of people; they are grounded, realistic and independent.

Others, want to post on social media in order to draw attention to themselves. These are NOT my type of people; they are insecure, lack self-esteem, lack independence of thought and are not grounded in reality. Fundamentally, they look to the outside world for validation.

Such a mindset, in my opinion, is deeply ignorant and arrogant. Firstly, why do you have such an elevated opinion of yourself that you honestly believe that others are interested in your life? Only you can live your life - you can’t take others with you!! Posting your life for others to validate - does a tremendous disservice to the self. You’re basically trading off your privacy and independence so others can give you a thumbs up! This is deeply unimpressive.

Social media is not about connecting and sharing. It’s for morons who can neither function nor think independently.

Don’t post anything, unless it involves an intellectual exchange of conversation (in which case both the individual and collective element get satisfied).

Maintaining a private and independent life will keep an aura of mystery and intrigue about you. The less people know - the more they will want to know.

On social media, you’re basically devaluing your own existence. You’re making personal information to readily available and just to top it off - you’re allowing other people to comment on your life and pass judgement in due course.

Living to impress other people (by posting on social media) is not the most intelligent move you can make to improve your own life.

You should live for yourself and maintain a fierce independence which is not reliant on others. This is the key to living a happy life.
