Herbert von Karajan - Wagner's Ring in HD - a look at Karajan's score and notes for Das Rheingold

Now re-issued in HD on blu-ray audio, Herbert von Karajan's recordings of Wagner's Ring operas for DG with the Berliner Philharmoniker were originally made, one per year, from 1967-1970. Following these sessions, he then took the same orchestra and stellar cast to the Salzburg Easter Festival a few months later, where he also personally directed the staging.
