I have revisited the Seeded Shane Marriage Speedrun on 1.6. Here is the commentated route.

Q: What is different from the previous versions?
A: Can you be more specific?

Q: Ok, I heard that weather was tied to steps, are you counting steps?
A: Rain is now fully tied to the seed, and not to number of steps taken. This means I rely on certain days being rainy no matter what I do before hand. This is useful for getting rain on Shane's bday and the last day of the run.
I only count steps for the first day I go out to ensure I get pepper poppers from the trash for the first gift.

Q: You use a fairy to grow your crops?
A: Yes. Where the fairy hits is a lot more predictable, meaning I can utilise the full 5x5 range, rather than a 3x3 range like I was doing before. Also with the rain change mentioned earlier, I will never lose a run to it raining on a day that a fairy is supposed to visit.

Q: How are you getting so many giant crops?
A: Giant Crops now have the top left crop as the key spot, rather than the middle. This means I can get more giant crops out of one fairy.

Q: I thought you could only get quests every 2 days?
A: New RNG means that an ItemDeliverQuest can potentially be on any day, rather than on a cycle. This was one of the big criteria is choosing the seed.

Q: Is this the fastest time you can get?
A: No. I made a few small mistakes, and better RNG on the mail gifts would give me more days with a speed boost. When I return to the category, I may need to count steps to ensure I get more mail gifts.
