This is a great video that talks about what I like to call, "Bucket List Coffee". Kopi Luwak or what is also known as Civet Coffee is coffee that is the result of the Civet, a small, lithe-bodied, mostly nocturnal mammal native to tropical Asia and Africa, consuming and digesting coffee cherries as part of it's diet.

The name Kopi Luwak is the name of the coffee processing method as opposed to what one would call a particular "type" or "brand" of coffee.

Kopi Luwak processed coffee is said to have a "stale" taste. According to Rocky Rhodes of International Coffee Consulting Group stated that, "using the SCAA cupping scale, the Luwak scored two points below the lowest of the other three coffees. It would appear that the Luwak processing diminishes good acidity and flavor and adds smoothness to the body, which is what many people seem to note as a positive to the coffee."
