Professor Oelfke is leading the MR Linac project, which is a joint venture between The Royal Marsden Hospital and The Institute of Cancer Research in Sutton. The MR Linac is a revolutionary new imaging machine which offers imaging and treatment, in real-time. Oracle are funding two PhD students who are working on producing imaging algorithms specifically for treating head and neck tumours using the MR Linac machine, which is currently in the final stages of completion in Sutton.
