Mencer insists that Israel is fighting for its survival and that it remains resolute in its desire to rescue hostages.

But Nick presses the spokesperson on 'how many more innocent people have to die?'

This comes amid Foreign Secretary David Lammy setting off to Israel to hold talks with Benjamin Netanyahu.

The ministry said Lammy, among other ministers, are 'expected to discuss the effort to prevent regional escalation and promote a deal for the release of the Israeli hostages'.
