Gas piping systems in any industrial, commercial, or institutional setting are an asset that must be managed. Managing them requires periodic assessment including inspections and testing. This three part series attempts to provide some key points for what might be contained in such a gas piping management program. Prescient Technical Services (PTS) has implemented gas piping audit checklist systems that address code compliance, manufacturers requirements, mechanical integrity, human factors, and best practice elements for industrial and power generation facilities. Maybe you're not ready for something as comprehensive as PTS would deliver, that's fine. Please do something. In this series I will be providing basics for things to consider.
