The HobbyWing MAX6 starts at $160 and fits perfectly in the XMaxx. The MAX6 is a very powerful fully programmable ESC that really gets the job done! The programming settings I recommend are max punch, 75% brake, 6V Bec setting if you are on the stock servo, auto lipo cell calculation, 50% reverse force, 0% drag brake, and ESC thermal protection at level 1 (225ºF/105ºC).
