"Watch What You Say" is the official 'hype' single for Optical illusion's forth coming album (still untitled) due 3rd quarter of the year 2012. Sonically, the group recorded to two different editions of the song from different paradigms of Hiphop sounds.

The one edition called, "The Left Version" is driven by menacing "Synthesizers" keeping with the current trend. Then there is the organic sounding edition called "The Right Version" which is lead by a heavy melodic bassline (Battlekat signature) and a picked guitar. This version features a gang of proficient lyricists from Reason, Mothipa, Xrate, Landmarq (of Last Days Fam) and an upcoming Lefa. Both versions are produced by Battlekat.

The concept of the song spawned from 'a conversation' Battlekat and Golden Shovel had on one of their casual 'hanging out' occasions, in reflection to how growing up and an experience of diverse information alters how a person's think; consequently changing ones paradigm in the things that they speak. Often when that happens, 'a contradiction to some ideas' that one used to hold before become obvious, that sometimes the voice that uttered those ideas before condemns one when seeking to explore a different reality in future.

Thus 'Watch What You Say' is more like 'an introspective warning to self'; that one to seek to be more 'objective' as opposed to being 'subjective and bias' in voicing out one's views. That is 'one ought to learn not to condemn nor to condone, but to simply understand situations', and speak from that point of understanding.

While Optical illusion is finalizing the album, the "Watch What You Say" Single and Music Video is set out to blaze a trail for what is to come out of the much anticipated reunion.
