ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- On Wednesday, hundreds headed out to the Asheville Regional Airport to preregister for AB Tech's newest flight school slated to open this fall.

Prospective students were able to learn more about the program, meet instructors and talk to financial advisors before regular registration opens.

"I wish I had started 20 years ago," prospective student Kathleen Nolan said. "These people will be able to be commercial pilots. I'm a little old for that, but commercial pilots...I would have loved to have done that."

Classes begin in August.
