A quick DIY guide on how to remove and clean the starter motor on a Range Rover P38 2.5 DSE (BMW M51 turbo diesel). The vehicle here is a 1996 MY with automatic transmission. The reason for removing the starter motor here was to inspect clean up the motor as it had recently become sluggish. Cleaning made the starting the engine noticeably easier.
