Today we proudly take you behind the scenes at NOMOS Glashütte. Known for their unique design language, NOMOS Glashütte is one of very few independent watchmakers that not only produces its own calibers in-house, but also produces their very own escapement - the NOMOS Swing System which was introduced in 2014.

We start our journey in the NOMOS Production hall in Glashutte. This is where the components that will eventually make up the various calibers are being produced. The production process blends high tech with traditional handcraft for optimal results.

I should mention that along the entire process that we will see here in this video, various mechanical and optical quality checks are made to ensure that the parts are as perfect as can be. Quality checks are everywhere.

We also pay a visit to the Chronometrie up in the hills of Glashütte. The birthplace of NOMOS, it is where watchmakers will assemble the movement and assemble the watches. Perhaps to add some perspective, this is where a lot of other brands just start their process, since many will have skipped the effort we have just seen at the production facility.
